This was my second time to stay at Velkommen Inn. The first time was fabulous. This time not so much. The staff were not friendly. I stood at the front desk for about 15 minutes before just giving up. My sister and I came in late from our niece's graduation and noticed the smoking stand thing was melting and smoke was coming out of the top. It smelled horrible and we thought they should know. The guy was obviously on a personal call but just kept talking, I tried to say, "Excuse me", no answer. Not even a look up!! My sister said, "I guess they don't want to know the thing is on fire". So, we gave up and went upstairs.

The room was great especially given the price, the city that the hotel is located in didn’t have too too many restaurants/places to go to choose from, it’s a little over 30 minutes to get to bigger city’s. the breakfast offered was small and light, no protein options such as meat or eggs. I was able to bring two dogs for an additional $50 (one dog is $35, but if you have two it’s $50). The staff was excellent!! answered all questions and over all very nice. We were able to use the pool during our stay as well, it was nice.

The Breakfast was a little less than I was expecting but it was clean and well stocked. The location was peaceful , quiet and clean, it is a little drive in to a big city but there is a few things to do and places to get the things you need. A good place to just get away and relax.

Customer service was excellent! The manager was very helpful and kind. He let us into breakfast at the last minute, opened the pool for us a little early, and noticed that our cards demagnetized and brought us new ones without us asking. The place was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. It was the hottest day of the year and the ac worked great. We all slept fine. Kids loved breakfast! The texas waffles were a big hit.

Location was perfect. Our king room was a nice size and clean. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but we had no complaints. Check in and check out easy. We would definitely stay here again if ever in Clifton, Texas again.

The cleanliness everywhere including the pleasant smell no bad odors anywhere, western decor throughout, fitness centre open any time & the swimming pool.

It was easy to get our Bicycles into the room and they provided a very nice breakfast. It was clean and friendly staff.

This is a family run business and is comparable to any holiday inn express or Candlewood suites. The complimentary breakfast in the morning which includes waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, bagels, pastries was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, and we needed a few extra pillows and the staff was more than happy to accommodate. The room was very clean and quiet. if I am ever in the area again I will definitely be staying at this hotel. Only about a 30 minute drive from Waco and the small town of Clifton that it is in has some antique stores and some good restaurants. Also, the hotel is very close to a grocery store which has a variety of sandwiches, drinks and food.
